Spent 30 days here, and loved it. The staff is amazing, and only wants to help in any way they can. My first few nights here I just wanted to give up on myself, but after going to groups and working the program, plus doing daily affirmations, I left with a smile in my heart that shines bright in my sobriety. I truly feel like I AM SOMEBODY, and Pride helped me with that. Highly recommended for recovery if you're an addict in the LGBT community who wants to work towards a better life.
My son attended Pride and it was the best thing and place. Their sensitivity to GLBT needs made all the difference from other rehabs he went to and he has developed a peace he has never had before. They were also professional in following through with the business end for us also. My son is a changed person for the first time in his life...he worked the program hard and it shows. He went for himself this time, that's the most important step.
Ended up staying for a 72 residential treatment program. The facility itself was very clean, well kept, very peaceful, comfortable, and serene. The property boasted a wooded lot with a stream in flowing through it, a fire pit and BBQ pit for summertime use. As far as the accommodations there is a small gym with a volleyball court and limited exercise equipment. There is a nice however small art room, library and game area. There are several different class rooms along with small group areas and larger comfortable sitting rooms. The rooms are shared with two other clients and the furniture for me was comfortable although there wasn't much storage for some. The dinning area is nice and there is a very well planned out menu from day to day. My favorite part was a nicely stocked salad bar. Even with all of these I suppose a drug/ alcohol rehabilitation institution could still be uncomfortable depending on the staff. Thankfully enough this staff is not only extremely accommodating but they truly show how much they care throughout the stay. In my opinion they go out of their way in order to help with any needs that they are able. From the C/D Techs, Nursing Staff, Counseling, M/H Interns even the Business Administration employees were there anytime you had an issue, or just wanted someone to talk to. I really can't say enough about this facility and its employees, they really helped to change my life.
