Courage Center is a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center that is situated in lovely Minneapolis, Minnesota at 3915 Golden Valley Road. Addiction to drugs, alcohol, or any other substance of abuse, can take a toll on the well-being and livelihood of the addict. It's important that these individuals seek professional treatment, guidance, and care in order to safely and successfully beat the addiction. Whether the patient requires inpatient treatment or outpatient treatment, Courage Center can provide patients with everything they need to beat addiction.
It's very typical for an addict to believe that they can overcome addiction on their own. Although this idea may seem tangible, going cold turkey is unsafe and more than likely will result in a relapse in the very near future. It's imperative that addicts seek the help of Courage Center as patients will receive quality addiction care and treatment methods at Courage Center. If addicts do not seek help for drug and alcohol addiction, their future will be unclear. This is because addiction is a degenerative and progressive disease that requires intense, professional treatment in order to conquer.
Courage Center can provide patients aged 18+ with unique treatment methods along with compassionate care and guidance. The counselors that work with the patient will be by their side every step of the way, helping to ensure their success in recovery. Every addict is able to overcome their addiction if they want it badly enough, but it does take the professional help of Courage Center in order to get to the level of sustained sobriety.
Through deciphering the core reasons why the patient uses drugs and alcohol as an escape will help counselors to better create a treatment program that works for them. A tailor-made approach to recovery is what patients will receive when they enter Courage Center and this is believed to be the best way to treat addiction.
If patients are truly ready to overcome their addiction and begin a new happy and content life than they will succeed in recovery. They must be in that mindset, though, in order to achieve lasting sobriety. The pool is wonderful and therapeutic for my chronic pain. Courage Center is not a SPA or GYM. It exists for people with disabilities. It is basic with no bells and whistles.
Good facility. Pool is often over-crowded, but has a good selection of floats. One lifeguard looks like she REALLY doesn't want to be there and looks like she is disgusted by the people with disabilities.
This organization and the (CRP) Community Reintegration Program was of great help to me after I sustained a TBI in 2010. Bravo!
Courage Kenny rehabilitation institute is a great place with multiple services that include excellent care for complex medical conditions. Mission-driven, caring and experienced. Those who work there are very caring and commited.
Since his spinal cord injury my husband has been cared for at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (quite good), N. Fulton Hospital rehab in Atlanta (awful), and now the Courage Center (absolutely wonderful). This is just a great place. Physical and occupational therapies are well done, the in-house physical medicine doctors listen carefully to the patient and work together to adjust medication and other treatments. Even the food is not too bad. There is a lovely patio outside of the dining hall overlooking a golf course and gas grills for family cook outs. Pets are allowed at any time. Our daughter and my husband recently planted a vegetable garden. The Courage Center is a venerable charitable institution in the Twin Cities so the patients not only benefit from Minnesota's much-better-than-average medical system but from great many donations from people, corporations, and foundations. For example, the Courage Center has six FES machines which were donated by the Christopher Reeve Foundation. It is rare that someone would have experienced rehab in three different states, but my husband has. . .and he can testify that the Courage Center is head and shoulders better than anywhere else. Of course, there are problems with staffing (this is an extremely labor intensive project) but they are trying really hard. The nurses, rehab aids, therapists, food service people and the housekeeping staff all seem really to like their jobs and try to give as much time to the residents as possible.
